Prayer

I am reminded daily about the importance of prayer.  I see so many folks struggling in their journey, and the strength they are able to glean through prayer.  People often wonder how to pray, if it has to be flowery words with lots of "thee's and thou's". Yeshua (Jesus) taught us to pray as in Matthew 6: 9-13
"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.  And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

I find, however, there are times even this is too much.  There are times when "Help" is all we can say and trust God knows the needs of our heart.  We can talk to Abba (our father) as we talk to our deepest confidant, our dearest friend, our closest family.  He is all this and so much more. When others let you down, He is always there.  He made us in his image (Genesis 1:27), he knew us in our mother's womb (Jer 1:5), He even knows the hairs on our head (Luke 12:7).  He wants us to talk to Him, and also to listen (Psalm 46:10).

Bless you all out there!
Don't forget to "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
